Meet Dr. Khaled

Dr Khaled is a licensed and certified dental anesthesiologist and dental surgeon, not a Pediatric Dentist. He attended the University of Toronto Dental School and upon completion, spent another three years to earn a Masters Degree and certification in dental anaesthesia, also at the University of Toronto.

He has worked at the Hospital for Sick Children, among other downtown teaching hospitals, and to date has completed more than 5000 surgeries for children and adults. Dr. Khaled continues to take courses in anaesthesia in the United States and Canada and currently teaches at the University of Toronto Dental School. Dr. Khaled is ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certified and PALS (Paediatric Advanced Life Support) certified.

Dr. Khaled is a past president of the Toronto Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Ontario Society of Dental Anesthesia. Since 2007 he has been a clinical demonstrator at the Department of Dental Anaesthesia at the Faculty of Dentistry in Toronto.

Committed to education and safety Dr Khaled launched his first satellite office in Brampton devoted to treating children under general anesthesia and also incorporated anesthesia and sedation into his Mississauga general practice. In 2014 he will launch 2 more locations to better service children and families in and around communities in the Toronto vicinity.

Dr. Steven Kirby
It is with great pleasure and excitement that we introduce Dr. Steven Kirby, who will be joining our practice in Guelph this November. Steven is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s Dental Program and has also completed the Paediatric Dentistry Program at the University of Portland, Oregon. He is also currently in the process of completing his Canadian Speciality Designation. Steven is joining us in Ontario after marrying another young dentist, Dr. Vanessa Leewing, who he met while both were studying at the University of Southern California. Steven will be limiting the general dental care he performs at our office to children. Along with our dental anesthesia specialists, he will be able to perform services for patients while they are either awake or asleep.

Nursing Staff
Our nurses have worked from the The Hospital for Sick Children and other reputable hospitals for a combined 30 years. They have extensive hospital, emergency and surgical experience and assist Dr. Khaled in the care of your child.
